Accelerated Access
If you passed your full motorcycle test on a 125cc (category A1) motorbike or 400cc or above (category A2) and are currently running on a restricted motorcycle licence, and you want to ride something more powerful, then you will need to retake the practical parts of the motorcycle test on a larger machine.
Since the motorcycle licence rules changed on the 19th January 2013, here at 90-ONE rider education we have improved our courses in line with the new legislation. The old "Accelerated access page" (this one) has been replaced with a "
Licence upgrade refresher" page. Click
here to see how to upgrade your motorcycle licence.
You may have passed your 125cc motorcycle test within the last 2 years and prior to the rule changes on the 19th January 2013.
If you are riding a larger machine which is restricted to or not exceeding 33bhp and you are over 23 years old (24 years old or above) you can remove that restriction by retaking the practical parts of the motorcycle test. This is done on a motorcycle ove 600cc (595cc) or above machine. Our
Licence upgrade refresher is the route to take.
For information on the new licence restriction, see
motorcycle licence restrictions which came in on the 19th January 2013.
